✅ Installation
Follow the steps shown in the gallery images to remove the old knob and cap and fit the new kit.

Dismantling kit to be replaced

1) Preparation : Make sure the vehicle is turned off and safe.
2) Frame Removal : Use a plastic tool to gently pry up the edge of the frame around the base of the gearbox. Lift the frame up and remove it, taking care not to damage the retaining clips.
3) Disconnecting the plugs : Identify the plugs connected to the gear lights and other electrical components. Carefully disconnect the plugs by gently pulling them.
4) Removing the knob and the cap :
a) Turn the headset inside out, cut the nylon tie holding the knob, and forcefully pull it upwards from the plastic adapter. If the knob is particularly difficult to remove, use a cloth for a better grip.
b) Pull the old adapter forcefully upwards from the gear lever;
c) Lift the boot from the gearbox, unhooking it from the base. Be careful of the fixing hooks to avoid breaking them.

Assembling the new kit

1) Mount the new adapter : Respect the original position of the adapter axes to have the gear knob direction in the correct direction. You may need to use a rubber-coated hammer to push the adapter all the way in. The plastic is very resistant, and will expand without breaking.
2) Fit the new headset : the white internal ring and the black external frame around the base of the gear shifter, making sure to hook the fixing clips correctly.
2) Fit the Knob : Once the cap and frame are secured, turn the cap over and fit the new knob from the inside using the new nylon cable tie.
3) Reposition the cap in the correct direction : press the new knob firmly onto the new plastic adapter. If you encounter any difficulties, you can use a rubber-coated hammer.
4) Reattach the plugs to their respective positions .
5) Reposition the frame around the gearbox base , ensuring the retaining clips are correctly aligned and secure.

Note: If your bezel is slightly off by a few millimeters, you can refit the old bezel to ensure a perfect fit.
