Once the plate has been removed, you need to unscrew the nut that secures the knob to the gear lever. Now you can remove the old knob. To assemble the new knob, simply gently remove the plate from the knob and assemble the new one by screwing the nut to secure it securely to the gear lever. Finally, reassemble the new plate.
